Setting up

Screen Time will not turn on

Unlockr needs a device passcode before iOS will grant Screen Time access. Open Settings, then Face ID and Passcode, and turn a passcode on. Then return to Unlockr and tap Screen Time again.

Screen Time also needs to be available on the account signed into the device. Managed accounts and child accounts in Family Sharing cannot grant it.

Choosing apps

The picker is provided by Apple. You can select individual apps, whole categories such as Social, or website domains. Unlockr receives them as anonymous tokens, which is why the app cannot show you a list of names it recognises.

Earning and using time

Why can I not earn more time right now

Unlockr will not stack rewards. While you still have unused minutes for an app, a new challenge for that app is blocked. Spend what you have first, or wait for the balance to reset at midnight.

My time is not counting down

That is intended. Earned minutes are spent only while the app is open in front of you. If your phone is locked or you are in another app, the balance holds.

The app is still blocked after a challenge

Time earned from an exercise applies to the specific app you started from. The daily breathing session is the one that unlocks everything at once. If a different app is still shielded, earn time for it directly.

The camera is not counting reps

Prop the phone so your whole body is in frame, with even lighting and no strong backlight. If pose detection cannot get a clear read, the challenge offers a manual fallback so you are never stuck.

Subscription

Restoring a purchase

Open Profile, find the Subscription section, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID that made the purchase.

Cancelling

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Unlockr. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds

Apple handles all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Account and data

Deleting your account

Open Profile, scroll to Account, then tap Delete Account. This removes your account and its records permanently. Cancel your subscription separately in Settings, since Apple manages billing.

Moving to a new iPhone

Install Unlockr, sign in with the same Apple ID, and your history and streak come back. You will need to choose your protected apps again, because those selections stay on the old device by design.

What Unlockr can see

Camera frames, motion samples, and the identity of your protected apps never leave your iPhone. The privacy policy lists everything else in detail.
